The new feature further bolsters the company’s iLet automated insulin delivery system platform. Meanwhile, the company looks poised to add further offerings with the planned “Mint” patch pump, eyeing on a 2027 launch.
Irvine, California-based Beta Bionics said it aims for the new feature to redefine how clinicians interpret patient data. It said this makes it the first and only insulin pump company delivering this level of intelligent reporting. The new feature goes beyond traditional glucose reporting by surfacing clinically relevant indicators, patient activities and system events that direclty influence outcomes.
According to Beta Bionics, the new feature organizes key information into two key categories. First, “Areas of Success” highlights strong time in range, stable overnight glucose and mostly usual meal announcements. This enables providers to reinforce positive interactions.
Second, “Areas of Opportunity” outlines frequent insulin pauses, rebound highs, prolonged hyperglycemia or missed meal announcements. Paired with educational guidance, this category helps support improvement.
Bionic Insights within the company’s Bionic Reports helps HCPs make more informed, personalized treatment recommendations. It said the structured approach helps clinicians quickly identify the drivers behind glucose outcomes. This reduces time spent interpreting raw data and increases time spent on meaningful patient care decisions.
Dr. Steven Russell, chief medical officer at Beta Bionics, said:
“Bionic Insights can change how clinicians interact with diabetes data because it transforms complex data into clear, actionable guidance. It highlights successes and opportunities, allowing physicians to have more productive conversations with their patients and make targeted recommendations that improve outcomes. This is an important step forward in helping people achieve better glucose control.
“Bionic Insights gives both providers and patients a shared understanding of what’s happening and why. That clarity makes it easier to have focused, productive conversations with patients about how to get the most from their iLet.”
