Beta Bionics (Nasdaq:BBNX) shares rose slightly after hours today on fourth-quarter results that topped the consensus forecast.
Shares of BBNX ticked up about 1% to $14.10 apiece in post-market trading today.
The Irvine, California-based automated insulin delivery system developer reported losses of $13.5 million. That equals 38¢ per share on sales of $32.1 million for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2025.
Beta Bionics recorded a 25.6% bottom-line gain on a sales increase of 57.1%.
Losses per share landed 8¢ ahead of expectations on Wall Street. Sales also topped estimates as experts forecast $31.1 million in revenue.
Beta Bionics anticipates total revenue to range between $130 million and $135 million in 2026. It expects to record between 36% and 38% of new patient starts with reimbursement through the pharmacy benefit plan (PBP) channel. The company expects gross margin between 55.5% and 57.5%.

Notably, the company’s installed customer base of 35,011 users marked a rise of 129% compared to the same period a year ago. It reported 5,592 new patient starts, up 37% from the fourth quarter of 2024.
New patient starts caused a sour reaction from analysts last month when preliminary results included expectations for at least 5,581 new patient starts in 2026 for the iLet automated insulin delivery system. While that represents a massive increase from last year — and ended up being bettered in the final results — BofA analyst Travis Steed wrote in a report that this tally came in shy of Wall Street projections. Steed said analysts expected more momentum in new patient starts amid an “increasingly competitive” market.
Meanwhile, the company looks poised to add further competition to the space with its planned “Mint” patch pump in development. The company has eyes on a 2027 launch for that offering. Beta Bionics is also currently grappling with an FDA warning letter.
Sean Saint, Beta Bionics president and CEO, said:
“Beta Bionics exists to deliver solutions to people with diabetes that reduce burden, expand access, and ultimately improve outcomes at the population level. We believe our performance throughout 2025 is strongly indicative that we are on the right track. Beta Bionics has established itself as a key leader in the durable insulin pump market, as evidenced by our sales force productivity, pharmacy channel coverage, and gross margin profile. The company continues to innovate rapidly on its R&D pipeline, including our Mint patch pump program and bihormonal program, the latter of which reached a critical milestone in Q4 upon completion of the first-in-human Phase 2a feasibility trial. As we look ahead to 2026, we believe the company is well-positioned to grow its leadership in the durable insulin pump market while advancing our pipeline initiatives that have clear potential to revolutionize care for people with diabetes in the years to come.”
