DiabetesWise announced that it launched its DiabetesWise Pro website to help providers make informed decisions on diabetes devices.
Stanford, California–based DiabetesWise says it designed the website as an easy-to-use and free tool for providers to access in the clinical practice or at the point of care. They can identify the best available diabetes device on the market for their patients, followed by the necessary steps for ordering the device based on insurance type.
According to a news release, DiabetesWise Pro includes an extensive device library where providers can learn about FDA-approved diabetes devices on the market and compare devices from different manufacturers through the side-by-side comparison feature. Providers can build a comparison report of the two devices, the details of the technology and the steps for ordering and prescribing. They can then share the reports with patients, colleagues and the community.
The company said another feature, the “prescription tool,” directs the user to a guide providing accurate, up-to-date information on the necessary steps for filing a prescription and ordering the device for the patient.
“DiabetesWise’s mission is to help patients find the right diabetes device for their lifestyle,” the company said in a news release. “The new DiabetesWise Pro website will further advance this important goal. Providers will now have a free, unbiased resource to understand the various technology options available, arming them with the information needed to develop the best-customized care plans for their patients and improve outcomes.”
