The debut includes the showcasing of the company’s automated insulin delivery (AID) technology. Acton, Massachusetts-based Insulet said its presence at CES features an immersive booth experience, expert panel session and media demonstrations.
Insulet said the company’s CES debut centers around the showcasing of its “liveable technology.” It hopes to demonstrate its “philosophy for the future of connected health.” The company touts its intelligent systems that support daily life as digital health continues to accelerate.
At CES, Insulet plans to demonstrate its vision for liveable technology. That includes the immersive experience that demonstrates the Omnipod AID system’s ability to make connected health “simple and empowering.”
Insulet’s CES presence includes a panel that brings together innovators, clinicians and real-world voices to look at the evolution of connected health. The company says the panel examines insight-driven, emotionally supportive systems that reduce the cognitive burden for those with chronic conditions.
Its interactive experience offers a hands-on journey into the automation of Omnipod, allowing attendees to connect with product specialists, hear stories from users and preview the next innovations in connected health.
Omnipod 5, the company’s latest Pod system, represents the first FDA-cleared tubeless automated insulin delivery system. It communicates with a CGM to proactively correct for glucose highs every five minutes. The system also protect against lows with insulin dosing.
Insulet plans to continue enhancing the system and looking toward next-generation technologies. CEO Ashley McEvoy outlined some of the planned improvements in a recent interview with Drug Delivery Business News, while she and other Insulet leaders expanded on those plans during the company’s recent Investor Day event.
“CES is where the future of technology takes shape, and Insulet is proud to help bring the voice of those living with diabetes into that future,” said Manoj Raghunandanan, chief growth officer at Insulet. “Each day brings dozens of choices that can be tiring and complex for anyone managing diabetes. Our goal is to ease that burden by creating technology that fits naturally into life. Omnipod reflects that vision of liveable technology, progress that helps people feel supported and more in control. By innovating at the nexus of MedTech, healthcare, and consumer, we’re showing that real change happens when life and technology actually work together.”
