Lenis Medical and Premier Distributing have inked an exclusive distribution deal for the U.S. sales of its needle-free injection system.
Lenis’ high-velocity, spring-loaded device injects medication painlessly into the skin, according to the company. Lenis touted its system as being universally applicable to subcutaneous and intramuscular medications, including steroids, insulin, vaccines and orthopedic drugs.
The Lenis device delivers 01.-0.4 mL of liquid drugs using a narrow fluid stream that penetrates a patient’s skin in a fraction of a second.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to bring the needle-free injections to physicians and consumers in the United States. European diabetics, dentists, veterinarians and aestheticians have had the benefit of needle-free injections for decades, finally a unique product for patients’ comfort, which may improve medication compliance, eliminate hazardous waste and the possibility of accidental needle sticks,” Kelly Ryan of Lenis USA said in prepared remarks.
