Senseonics more than doubles Q2 revenue in post-Ascensia era

Senseonics  (NYSE:SENS) stock is up more than 26% today after it reported what CEO Tim Goodnow described as the strongest quarter in the implantable, long-term CGM company’s history.

BTIG analysts Marie Thibault, Alexandra Pang, and Sam Eiber noted that the European commercial transition from Ascensia Diabetes Care closed in June across all four markets, bringing the full organization in-house at Senseonics. The company announced last year the end of its distribution agreement with Ascensia, fully taking over commercial activity for Eversense 365 products. (The Eversense 365 implantable CGM lasts for a full year; the sensor resides beneath the skin and sends glucose readings to an external device.)

For now, the BTIG analysts are keeping their Neutral rating on SENS shares: “We continue to be encouraged by the positive commercial momentum from Eversense 365 and the company’s ability to consistently beat and raise, though we continue to await further clarity on the eventual path to profitability.”

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Germantown, Maryland–based Senseonics lost $36.7 million, or 63¢ per share, compared to a loss of $14.5 million, or 36¢ per share in Q2 2025. Revenue was up 120% to $14.5 million.

The earnings loss was a penny more than the Wall Street consensus, but revenue blew past the expected $12.91 million.

Senseonics is raising its full-year 2026 global net revenue guidance to $62–66 million from $60 –$64 million, representing year-over-year growth of 76–87%. It’s also raising its full-year gross margin guidance to 58%–61%, up from 55%–58%. Company officials are positive about the ongoing roll-out of Eversense 365 outside the United States, planned direct-to-consumer marketing investment, the status of other sales and marketing initiatives, and utilization of the patient assistance programs for Eversense 365.

“Our commercial momentum continues to build, with strong U.S. direct-to-consumer results, now representing our largest source of new patients, improved productivity across our health care provider channel, and continued expansion of Eon Care,” Senseonics Chief Commercial Officer Brian Hansen said in a news release. “We were also encouraged by continued uptake of Eversense 365 in combination with the twiist Automated Insulin Delivery system. We look forward to continuing to drive performance with Eversense global commercialization now fully under Senseonics control.”
