January 10, 2020 By Danielle Kirsh

Tandem Diabetes Care - updated logoTandem Diabetes Care (NSDQ:TNDM) this week said it appointed Elizabeth Gasser as executive VP of strategy and corporate development.

Prior to joining the company, Gasser was an independent adviser for Tandem Diabetes Care. She has also led the corporate strategy function at Qualcomm and has held a number of leadership roles at Openwave Systems.

“Liz has been an instrumental consultant in recent months, providing insights to help share and define our longer-term strategic business plan, which positions us to lead in insulin therapy management by building a robust ecosystem and portfolio of data-driven products and services,” president and CEO John Sheridan said in a news release. “We are confident in her ability to lead in the implementation of these strategies as part of the executive management team and help drive Tandem’s continued success.”

“Tandem’s strategic plan focuses on providing the world’s best insulin delivery systems, building relationships and expanding the value we provide our customers, healthcare providers and payors, and using data in new ways to deliver revolutionary insights and experiences,” Gasser said. “There’s a meaningful, long-term opportunity for Tandem and I look forward to contributing in my new role.”
