Tandem Diabetes Care (Nasdaq:TNDM) shares got a boost today on fourth-quarter results that came in ahead of the consensus forecast.
Shares of TNDM rose 11.5% to $20.65 apiece after the market closed today.
The San Diego-based automated insulin delivery technology developer reported losses of 589 million. That equals 1¢ per share on sales of $290.4 million for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2025.
Tandem recorded a significant bottom-line slide into the red on a sales increase of 2.7%.
Losses per share landed 8¢ ahead of expectations on Wall Street. Sales also topped estimates as experts forecast $277.24 million in revenue.
Highlights in the quarter included FDA clearance to pair the Mobi pump with Android smartphones. Tandem Director of Product Marketing Ben Mar spoke to Drug Delivery Business News about the launch of that integration and the future of the company in November 2025.
“2025 was a defining year for Tandem as we surpassed $1 billion in worldwide sales and set gross margin records, while modernizing our commercial operations, reshaping our business model, and driving innovation,” said John Sheridan, president and CEO. “In 2026, we plan to build upon this momentum as we further strengthen our business, while delivering new technology solutions to improve the lives of people with diabetes.”
Tandem expects 2026 sales to range between $1.065 billion and $1.085 billion. The company intends to adopt a “pay-as-you-go” model in the U.S. It expects this to provide affordable access to customers and move the business toward more profitable revenue.
“In 2026, our goal is to expand the worldwide market by delivering double-digit pump shipment growth,” said Leigh Vosseller, EVP and CFO. “We remain committed to improving margins and profitability during this transition that positions Tandem for accelerated sales growth in 2027 and beyond.”
