MD Revolution today announced a partnership with Dexcom (Nasdaq:DXCM) to integrate CGM into its remote care management platform.

Dexcom develops continuous glucose monitoring technology (CGM), including its latest-generation G7. The system pairs with smartphones — and now Apple Watches — to monitor the glucose levels of people with diabetes.

MD Revolution’s remote care management platform integrates with an ecosystem of EHRs, data partners and devices. The company helps power comprehensive remote care for large practices, health systems and healthcare organizations. It offers software as a service or as an end-to-end program.

The companies plan to offer glucose monitoring data through the care management platform. Their partnership aims to empower clinicians to make informed decisions and provide better support for patients.

MD Revolution co-founder Dr. Samir Damani said in a news release that Dexcom technology enables patients to “manage glucose levels more closely than ever before.” Combining remote patient monitoring and CGM can offer them access to clinical health coaches and real-time remote care. Damani says this helps them proactively manage diabetes and other chronic conditions at the same time.

“This integration further strengthens our scalable care management platform and ecosystem of integrated EHRs, data partners and devices that power our remote care programs,” said Kyle Williams, CEO, MD Revolution. “Our partnership with Dexcom is good news for providers looking for remote care management for CGM patients who want streamlined services, billing and management under one cohesive remote care strategy.”
