Mellitus Health and Smart Meter inked a partnership this week to combine real-time blood glucose data with insulin titration tech.
According to the terms of the deal, healthcare providers using Mellitus Health’s Insulin Insights titration service will have access to real-time patient data from Smart Meter’s iGlucose Cellular Diabetes Care solution. Combining these offerings will help healthcare teams better manage patients’ insulin therapy regimens, according to the companies.
“We’re excited to combine the remote monitoring power of iGlucose’s easy-to-use solution with our software’s precision insulin dosing recommendations to bring better glycemic control to insulin-using people with diabetes,” Josh Davidson, CEO of Mellitus Health, said in prepared remarks. “A recent remote monitoring study using our Insulin Insights software showed a 2.4% drop in HbA1c in only 180 days, with no change in patient lifestyle and no severe hypoglycemic events. We hope to help many more patients achieve similar life-changing outcomes through our collaboration with iGlucose.”
