Automated insulin delivery technology developer Tandem Diabetes Care (NSDQ:TNDM) announced new appointments in three executive leadership positions.
San Diego-based Tandem named Rick Carpenter as CTO, Libba Sapitsky as SVP of Customer Care and Rizwan Pervez as SVP of Quality and Regulatory.
According to a news release, Carpenter, a veteran of more than 30 years in engineering technology leadership roles, most recently served as SVP of Engineering at Inseego, where he held responsibilities over device hardware and software, cloud software, quality assurance, regulatory and product certification and technical account management.
Sapitsky, with 30 years of experience in global life sciences and consumer care, was most recently VP of Customer Service & Operations at CVS Health. Before that, Sapitsky was SVP of Customer Service for Siemens Healthineers.
A 20-year veteran of quality, regulatory and compliance, Pervez most recently held the position of Global Head of Quality & Regulatory Compliance for Medtronic’s respiratory intervention business.
“These new positions were created to strengthen our management team as we prepare for continued growth, near-term product expansions and the execution of our longer-term product pipeline strategy,” Tandem President & CEO John Sheridan said in the release. “Rick, Libba and Rizwan are welcome additions to our senior leadership team, each bringing significant expertise in their respective functions and a shared passion for our mission to improve the lives of people with diabetes.”
