Enable Injections announced today that it appointed Vickie Capps to its board of directors as the head of the audit committee.

Capps joins the wearable drug delivery system maker with plenty of experience in finance and executive leadership. She also brings extensive board experience, including currently serving on the board of orthopedic company NuVasive.

Other boards Capps serves on include Amedisys and Janux Therapeutics. She serves as a member of the senior advisory board at Consonance Capital Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm. Her record includes serving as CFO of DJO Global from 2002 to 2013 as well.

Capps joins the board of Enable Injections at a good time. The company just picked up FDA approval for its enFuse injector for the delivery of Empaveli.

“The enFuse technology could make a significant impact on the drug delivery industry and how patients receive life-altering medication,” said Capps. “I’m excited to be part of this innovative company and I look forward to working with the team on increasingly meaningful milestones in the future.”

Capps’ appointment increases the size of the Enable Injections board to 10 members. The board features a wide range of business, pharmaceutical and medical device backgrounds.

“Vickie brings a wealth of experience and financial acumen to our board at a pivotal stage for Enable Injections,” said Mike Hooven, chair and CEO of Enable Injections. “Her expertise in global business operations, corporate finance and accounting, capital markets, and investor relations will help to drive Enable forward as we enter the next phase of commercialization as a company. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Enable team.”
