Koru Medical Systems (Nasdaq:KRMD) announced that it appointed medtech veteran Brian Case as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
With more than 20 years of experience in medtech R&D, Case joins after spending more than 16 years at Fresenius Kabi as VP of R&D. Before Fresenius Kabi, he served as an R&D program manager for advanced research at Cook Medical.
Case will lead product development and innovation at Chester, New York-based Koru as the company defines and executes a technology strategy to support its global drug delivery product portfolio, according to a news release.
Koru’s new CTO said in the release that the new role offers a high-potential opportunity to drive innovation and develop “best-in-class infusion solutions” to better serve the patient community.
“With his proven track record of value creation through R&D technology development, deployment of product development strategy, and merger and acquisition experience, we are confident Brian will be a catalyst to the Koru team,” Koru President and CEO Linda Tharby said in the release. “Brian is a great fit, with his value system, large and small company background, experiences and passion for the patient. He will be instrumental as we continue to define and execute Koru Medical’s product and technology strategy.
“His experience with global product and process development from the definition of customer needs to global market commercialization will pave the way for the company as we strengthen our technology roadmap to serve more patients, partners, and customers.”
