MiniMed (Nasdaq:MMED) announced the appointment of Scott Cundy to its board of directors, effective July 3, 2026.

Cundy’s appointment comes in the wake of Brett Wall’s departure from MiniMed parent company, Medtronic, announced this week. Wall, the EVP and president of the Medtronic Neuroscience portfolio, served as a class II director for MiniMed and as a member of the former Medtronic Diabetes unit’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

In connection with his leaving Medtronic, Wall informed the board that he intends to resign, effective July 3. Medtronic, which currently owns approximately 90.03% of the outstanding shares of common stock of MiniMed, nominated Wall as a member of the company’s board when it separated earlier this year.

MiniMed selected Cundy, currently Medtronic’s SVP and chief quality, development and innovation officer, to fill Wall’s vacancy. He previously served as VP, quality, regulatory & clinical affairs for diagnostics and life science platforms at Danaher before joining Medtronic in 2023.

Cundy’s term expires at the 2027 annual meeting of stockholders. For as long as Medtronic remains MiniMed’s parent company, Cundy received no compensation for his board service as a Medtronic employee. Thereafter, his compensation will be consistent with the compensation paid to other non-employee directors of MiniMed.
