MyLife Diabetes Care, CamDiab and Dexcom today announced the integration of the G7 continuous glucose monitor (CGM) into the MyLoop system.

MyLoop (previously MyLife Loop), an automated insulin delivery (AID) system, is powered by the CamAPS FX app. The system already integrated with the previous-generation Dexcom G6, as well as Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus. Adding G7 expands sensor compatibility and enables greater choice for people with diabetes.

G7, Dexcom’s latest-generation sensor, features a 60% size reduction from the G6. It offers a 30-minute warmup period (down from waiting two hours for glucose readings to begin in the past). The 30-minute sensor warmup marks the fastest of any CGM on the market Dexcom said. It also features a 12-hour grace period to replace finished sensors for a more seamless transition.

MyLoop integrates the YpsoPump insulin pump, CamAPS FX and compatible sensors. It provides an advanced, personalized, hybrid closed-loop AID experience with CamDiab’s app that automatically adjusts insulin delivery based on CGM readings.

The companies plan to launch their integrated offering in Switzerland today. They plan for future rollouts across multiple geographies, including in Australia, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and the UK, at the end of June, depending on local regulatory approvals.

Commentary from MyLife, Dexcom and CamDiab officials

Sébastien Delarive, CEO of MyLife Diabetes Care, said:

“Our goal is to empower people with type 1 diabetes with greater choice and seamless usability. Integrating Dexcom G7 into myLoop is another step towards a more flexible and personalised AID experience that adapts to individual needs.”

Matt Dolan, EVP, strategy and corporate development at Dexcom, said:

“Empowering people to manage their diabetes with confidence is central to our commitment to the diabetes community. Our long-standing partnership with mylife Diabetes Care and CamDiab reflects that commitment, and this latest integration brings together proven technologies in an update many users have been looking forward to.”

Roman Hovorka, founder of CamDiab, said:

“We are proud to see the CamAPS FX algorithm continue to power meaningful advances in automated insulin delivery. Integrating Dexcom G7 illustrates CamDiab’s commitment to bringing market-leading innovation to users of myLoop and ultimately improving the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes.”
