West Pharmaceutical Services (NYSE:WST) announced today that it expanded its ongoing collaboration with Corning (NYSE:GLW).
Exton, Pennsylvania-based West said its partnership now includes exclusive distribution rights for Corning Valor glass vials. It also includes the launch of its first product, West Ready Pack with Corning Valor RTU vials. This technology utilizes SG EZ-fill technology.
The West Ready Pack combines the company’s NovaPure stoppers and Flip-Off seals with Corning’s Valor RTU vials with SG EZ-fill. This creates a complete containment solution for bringing parenteral drugs and diagnostics to the market, according to a news release.
The companies initially announced their collaboration in January 2022. Their agreement includes a multi-million dollar investment to expand Corning’s Valor glass technology. Together, they aim to offer leading elastomer-glass system solutions for the containment and delivery of injectable medicines.
The companies plan to build the “next generation of integrated packaging and delivery system solutions.”

Valor RTU vials with SG EZ-fill technology enhance the storage and delivery of drugs. They also provide reliable access to essential medicines and optimize production efficiency. Corning designed the purpose-built pharmaceutical glass to address the challenges of today’s manufacturing operations.
