Within the last 12 months, we’ve seen one of the industry’s biggest players separate from its parent company. We’ve also seen significant regulatory milestones, product launches and unveilings of next-generation diabetes technology. Conversely, we’ve seen large-scale recalls and warning letters targeting companies in the space as well.
All that goes to say that the diabetes technology industry has not been short of news in the last 12 months. And with that news, the space delivered tremendous growth across most of its 10 largest publicly traded companies.
Drug Delivery Business News first published a list of the world’s nine largest diabetes tech companies in 2024, compiling the rankings based on annual revenue totals. Last year, that list expanded to 10, and came in tandem with the first-ever MassDevice Diabetes Technology Innovations Special Report.
Once again, we’ve ranked the space’s biggest companies — with a little movement — and there’s plenty more to enjoy in our free-to-download special report covering all things diabetes technology, including breakdowns of each of these companies’ major milestones in the last year. *NOTE: Roche reports the sales of its Diabetes Care unit with point-of-care diagnostics sales under the umbrella of the company’s “Near Patient Care” business. This is the closest available approximation of the company’s 2025 Diabetes Care revenues.
**NOTE: Ypsomed divested its Diabetes Care business at the end of July 2025. Revenues for the business are only reported from a four-month period ahead of the divestiture. The business is now called MyLife Diabetes Care and is privately held, with no publicly reported revenues.
