Eitan Group launches preventative maintenance servicing tool for Sapphire infusion pumps

November 12, 2019 By Danielle Kirsh

eitan-group-logoThe Eitan Group last week said it launched a new preventative maintenance servicing tool to cut maintenance costs and runtime on its Sapphire infusion pumps.

The new FasTestPM (preventative maintenance) replaces Eitan Group subsidiary Q Core’s previous maintenance kit and will allow users to quickly perform full maintenance tests on their Sapphire infusion pumps. Applicable tests include occlusion detection, air detection and pump accuracy checks. It will cost 90% less than the previous kit and have a total runtime of four minutes.

“We are revolutionizing the entire concept of preventative maintenance. With this new tool, our maintenance tests are now automatic, paperless and can be performed anywhere, including alternate site providers. This provides the end-user the flexibility and confidence to perform at the highest level,” Sapphire product manager Ohad Upin said in a news release. “By listening to our customers, we can evolve and improve our products and their functionality according to the end-user’s needs, ensuring safer infusion systems.”

FasTestPM will officially launch in December at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Las Vegas.

Eitan Group said in August that it signed a deal with InfuSystem for repair services on its Sapphire infusion pumps. InfuSystem planned to offer flat and al-la-carte options for Sapphire service and repair with a three-business-day turnaround goal for repairs.
