“We delivered robust second quarter results, reflecting our team’s strong performance and the compelling impact and appeal of Omnipod 5 for people living with diabetes,” said Ashley McEvoy, president and CEO. “Engaging with our partners, physicians, investors, and Podders this quarter has demonstrated our opportunity to revolutionize diabetes management and the value of our unique position at the nexus of consumer health, medtech, and health tech. As we scale the company, I’m confident in our ability to grow and create value for all our stakeholders in the future.”

Insulet increased its sales guidance for 2025, now projecting between 24% and 27% revenue growth, up from 19%-22%. The company expects total Omnipod sales to grow 25%-28%, rising from 20%-23%.

The analysts’ take on Insulet

BTIG analysts Marie Thibault, Sam Eiber and Alexandra Pang maintain a “Buy” rating for Insulet after a strong quarterly performance.

They note that management emphasized four key priorities. Insulet hopes to accelerate innovation, drive further market development, strengthen its commercial capabilities/build its OUS presence and invest in supply chain.

Meanwhile, on the pipeline front, they note Insulet’s studies underway for a next-generation hybrid closed-loop algorithm and a fully closed-loop algorithm for type 2 diabetes patients. Additionally, the company expects to integrate its Omnipod 5 pump with the Abbott FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor in 2026.

“We continue to be impressed by [Insulet], as it should continue to enjoy elevated adoption from the T2D U.S. launch and recurring revenue tailwinds from the expanding installed base,” the analysts wrote. “We particularly applaud the steep increase in operating profit this year.”
