The company picked medical device industry veteran Chuck Medovich to take on the role. Medovich brings more than 30 years of experience across quality, regulatory, manufacturing and R&D functions. His track record includes more than two decades in the medical device and healthcare sectors, too, according to a LinkedIn post.
Insulet said the position’s responsibilities include leading its global quality, regulatory and compliance organization. It said Medovich will help ensure the automated insulin delivery technology developer continues to deliver safe, effective and high-quality products.
“Chuck will play a critical role as we build on our strong foundation and continue to scale with excellence,” the company said.
Medovich joins from Johnson & Johnson, where he most recently held the post of VP and chief quality officer, dating back to 2023. In total, he spent more than 20 years in various functions at J&J, where he initially joined as a director of R&D within J&J Vision. Before Johnson & Johnson, he spent more than seven years at GE Transportation in operations and quality roles.
Another leadership appointment at Insulet
With his move to Insulet, Medovich becomes the latest former J&J leader to make the switch, following longtime J&J executive Ashley McEvoy’s appointment as president and CEO nearly a year ago.
McEvoy has continued to shape her leadership team over the last year. Personnel moves at the Acton, Massachusetts-based company include the promotion of Eric Benjamin to the role of chief operating officer (COO) and the naming of Manoj Raghunandanan as chief growth officer in August 2025.
Insulet also appointed Flavia Pease to succeed Ana Maria Chadwick as EVP and CFO in September 2025. The company then added Cristal Downing to its newly created position of chief corporate affairs officer in December 2025.
Last week, the company appointed longtime Stryker leader, Mike Panos, as EVP, chief commercial officer (CCO), effective immediately.
