Insulet promotes from within to fill CTO role

Insulet (Nasdaq:PODD) announced today that it appointed Amit Guliani as its chief technology officer (CTO).

Guliani’s appointment follows a nearly six-month tenure as acting CTO at the Acton, Massachusetts-based insulin pump maker. He took over in the interim role after Mark Field announced his departure in March.

Previously, Guliani served as group VP, software engineering. He joined Insulet in 2023 and helped strengthen the company’s engineering organization, enhance customer experience and further launch the Omnipod 5 automated insulin patch pump globally.

Insulet announced Guliani’s appointment in a LinkedIn post, writing:

“As Insulet’s CTO, Amit will lead the development and implementation of scalable technology platforms to support Insulet’s rapid growth. Amit and his team will also advance critical AI and digital capabilities to help us operate more effectively and deliver superior, personalized digital experiences for our customers. Join us in congratulating Amit on this well-deserved promotion.”

Guliani’s appointment marks the second major promotion within Insulet’s organizational structure in recent weeks. Last week, the company announced the promotion of Eric Benjamin to the role of chief operating officer (COO), promoting him from his chief product & consumer experience officer (CPXO). The company also appointed Manoj Raghunandanan as chief growth officer at the same time.

Insulet — one of the largest diabetes tech companies in the world — continues to build up its executive leadership team following the appointment of Ashley McEvoy as CEO in April.
