From CHF Solutions’ new Italian distribution deal to Masimo’s CE Mark approval, here are five medtech stories we missed this week but thought were still worth mentioning.

1. CHF Solutions signs Italian distribution deal

CHF Solutions announced in an April 17 press release that it has signed a new distribution agreement with TRX Italy to distribute its Aquadex FlexFlow System in Italy. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The agreement helps CHF Solutions further expand its market into European markets.

2. Varian touts expanded Halcyon 2.0 features

Varian has expanded its Halcyon 2.0 treatment system capabilities to include new imaging technologies, according to an April 19 press release. The Halcyon 2.0 treatment system will not feature kV Conebeam CT (CBCT) and Iterative CBCT imaging for soft tissue definition. The system is designed to deliver advanced treatments and enhance comfort for patients. It can produce kV CBCT images in about 15 seconds and helps ensure proper patient positions while speeding up workflow.

3. Konica Minolta Healthcare to distribute HydroCision’s TenJet device

Konica Minolta Healthcare announced in an April 12 press release that it has signed a distribution deal with HydroCision to become the distributor of HydroCision’s TenJet Percutaneous Tenotomy System. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The TenJet system is an all-in-one tool for needling, debridement and lavage of diseased tendon tissue under ultrasound guidance. It delivered a miniaturized, high-velocity stream of sterile saline to a surgical site while also allowing for a Venturi suction effect to cut and remove tissues of varying density.
