Sequel Med Tech and Senseonics (NYSE:SENS) today announced the full U.S. launch of their CGM and insulin pump integration.

Manchester, New Hampshire-based Sequel and Germantown, Maryland-based Senseonics now offer the Eversense 365 continuous glucose monitor (CGM) with the twiist automated insulin delivery (AID) system for people with type 1 diabetes in the U.S.

The companies first struck a deal to integrate technologies in April 2025. They made twiist the first AID system compatible with Eversense 365, the world’s first and only one-year CGM. Last month, the companies announced that the first commercial patients received their paired Eversense 365 and twiist systems.

Sequel said its full launch with Eversense 365 makes twiist available with two compatible CGMs. twiist also pairs with the Abbott FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.

The twiist system works with the twiist Loop algorithm, powered by Tidepool. It directly measures the volume of insulin delivered with every microdose. The system offers the capability and flexibility to address each patient’s individual dosing needs. Sequel’s system utilizes sound waves that measure each pulse of insulin. This enables precision and helps understand exactly how much insulin the patient receives in a dose.

twiist features iiSure technology, which includes four checkpoints to provide accurate delivery and alert users to blockages quickly. Cleared for ages six and up with type 1 diabetes, it offers a personalized way to manage the condition. Sequel began its rollout for the AID system in 2025.

Eversense 365, an implantable system, rests under the skin for the duration of a year. Users can change its external, silicone-based adhesive daily with almost no skin reactions.

Senseonics launched Eversense 365 with its global distribution partner, Ascensia Diabetes Care, in October 2024. It has since taken over full commercial activity for the technology. The system also received clearance as an integrated CGM (iCGM) system, meaning it can work with compatible medical devices. Those include insulin pumps as part of automated insulin delivery systems.

Commentary from Sequel and Senseonics officials

Dr. Joanna Mitri, chief medical officer at Sequel, said:

“As the first AID system to integrate with a year‑long CGM, twiist expands the options available to people with diabetes. People deserve choice and technology that fits the realities of their lives. Our goal is to provide a system that supports the many different ways individuals and care teams approach diabetes every day.”

Brian Hansen, chief commercial officer of Senseonics, said:

“National availability of Eversense 365 with twiist marks an important next phase of our journey. It adds to the growing momentum behind Eversense 365, which is designed to provide reliable glucose data over longer periods of time in order to reduce the daily burden people with diabetes often face. By pairing this groundbreaking CGM with an advanced insulin delivery system, users can spend less time managing devices and more time focusing on their lives.”
