SiBionics highlights benefits of AI in CGM tech

SiBionics shared new findings about the use of AI in continuous glucose monitor (CGM) technologies.

The China-based company shared new perspectives on AI at the 19th International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD) in Barcelona. It outlined how AI can extend the value of CGM technology beyond just monitoring.

SiBionics develops the GS3 CGM platform, which it unveiled at ATTD 2025. It touts the ultra-compact device as the world’s thinnest CGM at the size of a small coin. It also aims to pair the CGM with insulin pumps to create automated insulin delivery systems. SiBionics announced a partnership with PharmaSens last year to deliver a first-of-its-kind all-in-one insulin patch pump. (Read more about how that system works from an interview with company officials here.)

The company said it introduced several AI-driven capabilities to its CGM platform to translate daily data into practical insights. One feature, a multi-day time in range (TIR) overview, combines with a spike analysis feature. Together, they enable clinicians and patients to identify glucose patterns over time and support more precise clinical decisions.

SiBionics also added a smart logging and tagging feature. Using AI-powered voice logging, users can describe daily events like meals, exercise or medication. The system automatically organizes the information into structured health records.

Additionally, AI-powered meal insights analyze recorded meals and show how dietary choices influence glucose patterns. The company says its AI-powered tools turn complex glucose data into clear insights and actionable guidance. Its new features come as other CGM makers also integrate AI capabilities into their own platforms.

“As AI reshapes how glucose data is interpreted, diabetes technology is moving toward intelligent systems that support both clinical decisions and daily self-management,” SiBionics said.
