Trividia Health announced today that it launched its new TRUEplus five-bevel insulin pen needle line in the UK.

The new five-bevel pen needle provides healthcare providers with a variety of different needle gauges and sizes at low cost for patients with diabetes. Trividia designed the needles for maximum comfort, delivering high quality, safety and ease of use. They come in multiple needle sizes to meet various needs (31 Gauge 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, and 32 Gauge 4mm).

Additionally, the needles feature a unique needle design to help improve the comfort of painful insulin injections. The company says the design helps to increase patient acceptance.

Currently, the company says its new needles are the lowest-priced five-bevel pen needles offered on prescription. Many patients are prescribed older, less comfortable three-level product designs at the same price or higher, the company claims.

Trividia offers them throughout the U.S. under the TRUEplus brand name and the brand names of certain retail pharmacies. Expanding into the UK marks the first availability of the needles outside the U.S.

“Providing accessibility to a range of products for patients to confidently manage their diabetes is a priority for us at Trividia Health. Having the TRUEplus 5-Bevel Pen Needles as registered products in the UK allows healthcare providers the option to provide patients with high-quality, low-cost pen needles to manage their diabetes,” said Jonathan Chapman, President and CEO of Trividia Health.
