
Insulet (Nasdaq:PODD) shares rose slightly before hours today on third-quarter results that landed well ahead of the consensus forecast.
Shares of PODD ticked up 2.4% to $322 apiece in pre-market trading today.
The Acton, Massachusetts-based automated insulin delivery technology developer reported profits of $87.6 million. That equals $1.24 per share on sales of $706.3 million for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2025.
Insulet — one of the largest diabetes tech companies in the world — recorded a 13% bottom-line gain on a sales increase of nearly 30%.
Adjusted to exclude one-time items, earnings per share also came in at $1.24. That landed 10¢ ahead of expectations on Wall Street. Sales came in well ahead of estimates as experts forecast $679 million in revenue. The company also redeemed the remaining $380 million principal of convertible notes recently.

The company’s flagship Omnipod automated insulin delivery system platform saw sales increase 31% to $699.2 million from the same three-month period a year ago.
Insulet again increased revenue growth expectations after previously guiding for between 24% and 27%. It now projects full-year growth to land between 25% and 28%. The company expects total Omnipod sales growth between 27% and 30%.

The analysts’ take
BTIG analysts Marie Thibault, Sam Eiber and Alexandra Pang maintained a “Buy” rating for Insulet. They note that the company’s new CFO, Flavia Pease, outlined her commitment to “providing a balanced outlook of the business and that the company’s strategic priorities remain intact.”
Additionally, the analysts say management wants to remain focused on efficient customer acquisition/serve costs. Leadership highlighted a commitment to meaningful operating margin expansion, too.
The analysts expect to hear more at Insulet’s Nov. 20 Investor Day event.
“We look forward to hearing more details on the company’s growth strategy, profitability metrics, and long-term roadmap,” they wrote. “We think [Insulet’s] positive momentum can help support durable sales growth in both the near and long-term.”
